| How it works: Books normally sell at 50 % of their cover price. Customers receive a credit of 25 % of the publisher’s U.S. price for each acceptable paperback brought in for “trade”. The credit is used toward the purchase of books. Unused credit remains on file for later use and does not expire. Note: 20% or more ($1.00 minimum) of purchase price must be paid by cash, credit/debit card, check, or Lazy Days gift certificate. Current policy on book acceptance: Clean paperback books in good condition with a cover price of at least $4.99 ($2.00 on Westerns and children’s books) are acceptable for trade. Goodwill stickers, Dollar Store labels, yard sale stickers, etc. may render books as unacceptable. Books previously purchased at Lazy Days are not automatically accepted. Romances such as those from Love Inspired, Harlequin, and Silhouette, must have an American publication date no more than 5 years (plus current year) old. Outdated non-fiction titles will not be accepted. Books with damaged covers may not be accepted. Processed former library books will not be accepted, even if marked discard. “Trade- ins” are the way we stock our shelves. If we can’t use it, we won’t take it. If we are overstocked on an item or author we will temporarily suspend accepting them, for example Chicken Soup for the Soul titles or books by Danielle Steele.
